After an extended bout with alcoholism and drug addiction, Ozzy Osbourne emerged clean and sober for the recording of 1991's NO MORE TEARS, one of his most successful solo albums ever. Soon after the album's release, Ozzy stated publicly that the album's supporting tour would be his last, and dubbed the outing "No More Tours." As it turned out, the tour was far from Ozzy's last. Ozzy is joined by guitarist Zakk Wylde, drummer Randy Castillo, while original Ozzy solo member Bob Daisley and newcomer Mike Inez (who eventually became a member of Alice in Chains) switch off on bass. Renowned metal producer Duane Baron helped Ozzy achieve a rocking and heavy sound throughout, as Motorhead's Lemmy Kilmeister contributed to the writing of several songs. Several videos for songs received extensive airplay on MTV's Headbanger's Ball, including the epic (and slightly Beatles-esque) title track, the fierce rocker "Mr. Tinkertrain," plus three melodic and more sedate compositions ("Mama, I'm Coming Home," "Time After Time," and "Road to Nowhere"). NO MORE TEARS was one the '90's most popular and enduring heavy metal releases, and one of Ozzy Osbourne's finest efforts.

A test pilot embraces his destiny as a cosmic superhero in CASINO ROYALE director Martin Campbell's adaptation of the popular DC Comics series. Ever since he saw his fearless father perish in a tragic aviation mishap, all Hal Jordan (Ryan Reynolds) could think about was flying - it was the only thing the brash, cocky, and irresponsible test pilot ever truly excelled at. Little did he realize he was destined for something much bigger. Somewhere out in space, a powerful force of evil known as Parallax is spreading fear and destruction; the only hope for defeating Parallax is the Green Lantern Corps, a group of intergalactic warriors powered by the force of will. When legendary Green Lantern Abin Sur (Temuera Morrison) is sent hurtling toward planet Earth after a deadly encounter with Parallax, his ring chooses Hal to continue the fight. The ring spirits our hero away to the Green Lantern's home planet of Oa for training. The first human ever to receive the honor of becoming a Green Lantern, Hal is viewed with scorn by the league's leader, Sinestro (Mark Strong), who trains him alongside the hulking Kilowog (voice of Michael Clarke Duncan). Later, on planet Earth, frail scientist Hector Hammond (Peter Sarsgaard) becomes infected with Parallax's evil while performing an autopsy on Abin Sur, and uses his newfound powers to stake claim on Carol Ferris (Blake Lively), Hal's lifelong friend and fellow test pilot. When Hal learns that Parallax plans to consume all life on Earth to gain the energy needed to conquer Oa, he begins looking inward for the courage to defeat the malevolent force and embrace his destiny as a super-powered peacekeeper.

Director Daniel Petrie's highly acclaimed drama is a seminal portrait of African American life in the mid-1950s, based on Lorraine Hansberry's groundbreaking play, that achieved critical and commercial success at a time when the viability of a black audience or a white crossover audience was not considered a possibility. Lena Younger (Claudia McNeil), the stalwart matriarch of an impoverished black family, dreams of owning a nice home in a tidy, integrated suburb. In the meantime, she shares a small apartment on Chicago's South Side with her underemployed adult son, Walter (Sidney Poitier); his emotionally resilient wife, Ruth (Ruby Dee); their child, Travis (Stephen Perry); and her daughter, Beneatha (Diana Sands). Though there's plenty of love in the family, the close quarters breed desperation and discontent. But Lena's prayers are finally answered when she receives a $10,000 insurance policy her husband left behind. The money becomes a symbol for freedom for each member of the Younger family: Lena sees it as a ticket out of the ghetto and into a home of her own, Walter sees it as a chance to regain his dignity and start his own business, while Beneatha dreams of medical school. Their internal struggle threatens to tear the Younger family apart in this moving and claustrophobic vision of life in the bigoted and oppressive environment of a 1950s tenement. Petrie's film features strong and captivating performances from the cast, reprising their 1959 Broadway roles.

Buying Robben Ford ~ Bringing It Back Home (new)

Robben Ford ~ Bringing It Back Home (new)

Robben Ford ~ Bringing It Back Home (new) Personnel: Robben Ford (vocals, guitar); Stephen Baxter (trombone); Larry Goldings (organ); Harvey Mason, Sr. (drums).Audio Mixer: Ed Cherney. Recording information: Brotheryn Studios, Ojai, CA; NRG Studios, North Hollywood, CA; The Village, West Los Angeles, CA; Tossamo Studio, North Hollywood, CA. Photographers: George Wells; Robben Ford. Robben Ford's last studio effort, 2007's Truth, received a Grammy nomination for best contemporary blues album. Where that recording focused on his workmanlike songwriting skills and his prodigious guitar technique, Bringing It All Back Home highlights other aspects of his musical persona. This is Ford putting on offer his considerable skills as a bandleader and song interpreter. There's not a lot of superpicker athleticism on display here, and there doesn't need to be. Backed a smoking band that includes organist Larry Goldings, drummer Harvey Mason, bassist David Pilch, and trombonist Stephen Baxter, Ford makes it look easy. On this series of mainly cover tunes, his modern blues is infused with his love of New Orleans' R & B throughout. This is especially true on the slippery, punchy, readings of Allen Toussaint's "Everything I Do Gonna Be Funky" and "Fair Child" - two of the first three tunes here - that are simultaneously polished and greasy. One of the three guitar burners here is "Trick Bag," by NOLA guitar hero Earl King. It showcases the locked-in interplay between Pilch and Baxter as they ride atop Mason's funky butt breakbeats. Even Bob Dylan's "Most Likely You Go Your Way and I'll Go Mine" gets a second-line backbeat treatment. Another guitar highlight, albeit a gorgeously relaxed one, is an instrumental update of the traditional "On That Morning," wherein Ford expertly channels his inner Wes Montgomery. On "Slick Capers Blues," by little known pre-war bluesman Charlie "Little Buddy" Doyle, he and Goldings trade knotty lines in updating the tune for the new century. A great surprise here is how fine a singer Ford.

Devoted astronomer Dr. Ellie Arroway undertakes an emotional and spiritual journey after receiving the message she's waited for all her life-a mysterious signal beamed in from alien beings, who pass along instructions for building and piloting a craft that will presumably survive the passage from Earth to their home. While struggling to fund her mission, Arroway also struggles with her feelings about the nature of things, particularly after meeting a charismatic New Age believer who questions her disbelief in God. A deliberately-paced, meditative adaptation of the eponymous novel by Ann Druyan and "pop" astronomer Carl Sagan, who died during production.

The Mighty Macs - Widescreen AC3 Dolby - DVD It's 1971. Cathy Rush is a woman ahead of her time. and she's about to embark on an adventure for the ages. A new era is dawning in the country and in collegiate athletics, where a national champion will be crowned for the first time in women's basketball. In the lead up to this historical season, major universities are preparing their game plans to win that first title. Meanwhile a tiny all-women's Catholic college in Philadelphia has a more modest goal: find a coach before the season begins. Providentially, Cathy Rush is about to find Immaculata College. Recently married, Cathy is dealing with the aftermath of a truncated playing career. While cultural norms would have her staying at home, she's willing to do the hard work necessary to help her new team reach their goals - or perhaps she's just trying to achieve her unfulfilled dreams through them. From the beginning, her challenges are as imposing as the big-school teams Immaculata will face on the court. Cathy learns there is no gymnasium on campus, she receives little support from the school's Mother Superior, and the school is in dire financial straits. To top it off, she may not even have enough players to field a team! While it appears the Macs don't have a prayer, all hope is not lost. With the help of Sister Sunday - a spunky assistant coach - and the support of a booster club of elderly nuns, Coach Rush creates a new game plan that just might bring the team - and the school - together. "The Mighty Macs" is based on the incredible true story of the 1971-72 Immaculata College team that started in obscurity but became the original Cinderella story in women's basketball. This team of pioneers went from barely making that inaugural tournament to the first dynasty in their game. And Cathy Rush, the woman that was ahead of her time, became immortalized when she was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame. Being Human: Season 4 (Blu-ray) Blu-Ray from Warner Bros.

Being Human: Season 4 (Blu-ray) Blu-Ray from Warner Bros. Two people fascinated with the past wonder if they have a future together in this independent drama. George (Michael Piccirilli) is a librarian who in his spare time poses as a door-to-door encyclopedia salesman as he works on an ambitious project: "The Obselidia," an encyclopedia that catalogs the huge number of things that have gone obsolete in 21st Century culture. George distrusts most present day technology - he refuses to drive a car, he doesn't own a cell phone or a land line with buttons, and while he grudgingly uses a computer at work, he won't allow one in his home and does his writing on a manual typewriter. As George is researching his Obselidia, he meets Sophie (Gaynor Howe), a lovely young woman who works as a projectionist at a movie theater specializing in vintage silent films. Sophie is also fascinated with relics of the past, but is more open-minded and doesn't share George's dread about a culture in flux. Despite George's tremendous discomfort around women, he's fascinated by Sophie, and they begin an intellectual courtship as they discuss their many opinions about the changing world around them. A side trip into exploring the future takes George and Sophie to Death Valley, where they meet Lewis (Frank Hoyt Taylor), a retired scientist who believes climate change will turn the world into a desert by 2100 and tells the few people he sees to enjoy the present day, since man's days on Earth are numbered. The first feature film from director Diane Bell, OBSELIDIA was an official selection at the 2010 Sundance Film Festival, where it received the Alfred P. Sloan Prize for Excellence in Cinematography.

For Sale Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Second Season [6 Discs]

Grey's Anatomy: The Complete Second Season [6 Discs]

For viewers bored or distressed by the constant gore and breakneck speed of hospital dramas like ER, GREY'S ANATOMY comes as a breath of fresh air. Unlike other shows set in the world of medicine, this series is just as concerned with its characters' personal lives as with their medical careers, and thrives by stressing the way in which the two intertwine. After all, for surgical interns who have chosen to dedicate their lives to medicine, the hospital largely becomes their home. Extremely well-written, the series mixes serious issues like mortality with funny storylines and wit. Each character is well developed and individualized, coming off as real rather than stereotypical. Rather than standing on its own, each medical challenge sheds some light on the doctors' personal experiences, bringing the hospital environment to a refreshingly relevant level. While the series may not be the most realistic medical drama on television, it is certainly the most compelling and entertaining, containing such juicy plotlines as love triangles, affairs between coworkers, and secret romances. This release contains every episode from the show's well received second season, picking up right where the first left off, with Meredith discovering that her boyfriend, Derek, has been hiding the fact that he's married. Shocked and betrayed, Meredith embarks on a messy healing process that involves angry shouting matches and a string of one-night stands. As usual, the show avoids taking itself too seriously by interjecting serious themes with lighthearted dialogue and humorous medical emergencies. Rounding out the already impressive ensemble cast are new characters like Derek's wife (Kate Walsh) and new love interests for most of the cast. While the season contains plenty of laughs, it keeps the intensity up as well, and ends on a decidedly somber note.

Through the DS-A5, you can wirelessly stream music from the iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in your hand to your audio system. Plus, you can also stream music fthrough your home network from your computer's iTunes library. Versatile connections The DS-A5 provides two ways to get audio to your system. It has an optical digital output, so your receiver's digital-to-analog converter (DAC) can process the signal for better sound than you'll get from most portable devices. But if you have an older receiver - it doesn't matter which brand - that lacks optical input, the DS-A5 also has standard RCA stereo outputs so you can make an analog connection to your system. There's also a composite video output for connecting to your TV, so you can display video and photos from your docked player. The DS-A5 connects to the proprietary RI ('Remote Interactive') port found on most current Onkyo receiver models, allowing you to control your player using the receiver's remote. The dock also comes with its own remote for use with other brands of audio/video gear. 30-pin dock connector The DS-A5 has a 30-pin dock connector, so you can use it with most docking iPods, iPads, and iPhones. For 2012 and newer models that use a Lightning connector - such as the iPhone 5, iPad mini, iPad 4, 7th generation iPod nano and 4th generation iPod touch - you'll need a 30-pin-to-Lightning adapter (available separately).
